Dr. Basil Alkhatib (pronounced Al-Ka-teeb) is an interventional cardiologist. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University, then went on to earn his Medical Degree with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine.
Dr. Alkhatib did his internal medicine residency, cardiovascular medicine fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship all at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York.
Dr. Alkhatib was trained and certified to do procedures including coronary angiography and stenting, peripheral angiography and stenting, intracoronary atherectomy, as well as numerous structural heart procedures including transaortic valve implantation.
Aside from his clinical duties, Dr. alkhatib enjoys publishing and has several publications including book chapters in the field of interventional cardiology.
