Jody Eckhardt, DNP, FNP-BC

Jody Eckhardt is an advanced practice nurse. She is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Practice program at the University of San Diego with an expected graduation date of May 2011. Jody has over 28 years of clinical nursing in critical care.

Jody has worked closely with Dr. Paul Sawrey, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, for more than a decade and in 2009, she joined the APP staff at Biltmore Cardiology.

Jody is currently working to improve outcomes with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients. She is a member of the Scios Speakers’ on the topic of CHF. She has participated in a national registry, Advancement, funded by Guidant, as a research coordinator to advance heart health.

Jody is an active member of national organizations including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau. She is nationally Board Certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Family Nurse Practitioner and Critical Care Nurse.
