Our "Team Approach" to your care includes our physicians and their Advanced Practice Providers (APP). These are the nurse practitioners or physician assistants who work alongside most of our physicians in taking care of our patients. Our physician/APP team approach to quality care means that you may see one or both during your visits to the clinic and the hospital. This approach means that we are able to provide a higher quality of care by two quality providers thoroughly reviewing your care and treatment and your being seen in a timely manner. We have crafted this approach to your care to ensure that we are able to give you the best care possible.

Advanced practice providers will not be a substitute for your cardiologist, but their high level of education and training, specializing in cardiology, enables them to enhance the care directed by your physician. Biltmore's APPs work closely with the physicians and will keep them updated as to any health status changes. The APP and the physician review the patient records together and they address the patient's needs according to the directive of the physician.
